Cork Sleeves and Composting.
It seems like more and more people are composting. In the last 5 years I’ve had a handful of friends begin a composte - which is surprising since many live in urban areas. I would imagine that the CoolCorC cup sleeve would be an ideal addition to compost. It’s made of organic materials, is light-weight, and can easily be made into a layer.
Since composting utilizes the decomposition of plant remains and other once-living materials to make a rich “mulch,” it is excellent for use with houseplants or enriching garden soil. Recycling can be taken one step further with composting by using yard and kitchen wastes, and now waste we accumulate while we are “out and about.” Also, composting reduces the volume of garbage needlessly sent to landfills for disposal.
Instead of throwing out other cup sleeves, we can use the CoolCorC cup sleeve in our compostes after we’ve used it on cups. Plus, since cork is a naturally occurring material and is harvested without harm to the tree, the CoolCorC cup sleeve can help make drinking hot substances a lot nicer on your hands as well as add an extra dimension to your composte.
